court date concerns

our lawyer just called to say he is having trouble fixing our court date because the judge we were assigned is going to Jinja next week.  the irony there is that our 1st court date was in Jinja and the judge from there was reassigned to another city.  He said he is staying around to try and see if he can get us assigned to another judge.  That is his intention right now.  for all you early risers, please pray that he can get the date fixed today!!  Most of you won't be awake b4 end of business today here.  IF we don't get a court appearance next week that tacks on another week at minimum to our stay... :'(  we really can't afford that financially or emotionally.

  1. We are praying for you. We have been wondering how you are faring $$$ especially with your jobs here in USA. But again, those faces say everything. Getting all of you home at once is essential. It is too exhausting and costly and there is the real issue of separation anxiety to make promises and then send them back to their homes in Uganda for you two to regroup here in USA hoping for a more successful trip down the road. This is a mission to rescue the perishing which is God's job. He has all that is needed to accomplish his goals for you including money and patience. Lean on Him as in Matt 11:28ff. You have learned much through this. You have seen each other grow in love for these little people in orange shirts! :) :) My love for dad grew and grew as I watched him love you and your siblings as much as I did. How very precious it is to experience this with you. The looks on your faces say more than we're happy. They say we are different, we are in love, we are fulfilled and we have a purpose higher than our own gratification and comfort. We are parents and our children are in desperate need of our perseverance. We are up for the task as Gideon of old. The sword of the Lord and Gideon. Gideon, just as you said earlier, was there for the (ride) adventure. God grew him in to a faithful secure soldier in His army because he was fearfully willing to trust the Almighty to do things His way. As a bonus, the process turned him into a great leader. Someone in whom the Children of Israel could rely. As your parents, we are thrilled with all that God is doing in you both. You are champions for your sons. We are so proud of you both. Thank you for sharing this with us. You are loved beyond words. Remember God is faithful. Do not be discouraged. Remember what you said to me on the phone, pray that we don't act like Americans. Be gracious. By yielding to the Holy Spirit you will shine as lights to the dark world. Hope you heard my love in this. I love you with every fiber of my being. And I am so proud of you. xoxox ylmwlyl<3ingly, Mom

  2. Lord, only You are king of heaven and earth. According to Your Word, The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will. Thank You precious and loving Father that we can rest in Your Word and have unwavering fath that You are in absolute and total control.

  4. Dear Lord, thank you for the obedience to follow such a calling. Please uplift and provide for them at this extreme time of testing. Only you know the emotional, physical, and financial pressures that Rachel and Norm are under. We pray that you make the crooked way straight and get them back safe and sound to their home. Bless them with your strength and peace.
    In Jesus' name, amen.
