jetlagged in Shipol

So here we sit in Shipol airport in Amsterdam.  We have a total of 5 hrs of layover here.  We both did not manage to sleep on the 1st flight...unfortunately.  (We were hindered by a dear child playing some sort of handheld game with the sounds turned up loud enough for us to hear.) We were racing to get from our arrival gate to our departure gate in Detroit. Our flight left over 1hr late from Maine so we basically sprinted from one end of the Detroit airport to the other and just made the final boarding call only to find they had changed our seats and put us in the front row of the economy section which is the one w/o a row in front of it so we had lots of legroom...yay! Molly had a pretty hard time saying goodbye to her daddy and called him from the van before our first plane even left the ground.    I lost my cellphone and thought it was gone for good only to find it in a random compartment in my other carry on bag... phew!  I got a text from Elizabeth saying that Beni is excited that I am coming soon, she didn't mention Johnny.  Can't wait to hear "Momma!" from his sweet lips! Thanks for the prayers and keep it up!!

  1. Continuing to pray from here. So glad to hear that Beni is excited to see his Momma! When Johnny sees you there will be recognition from him as well....this must be so confusing to such a young child. They both will relish in the mother's love you give them once they are back with you. Grandpa must be so excited to meet them as well...and as you know most little kids love your dad right off. Glad to hear that your trip was made more comfortable by the change of locations. Molly will be at Sarah's next week for the Fair so that will help keep her mind off her Daddy. Know that we are continuously praying for all of you.
    Love, Aunt Lisa

  3. After all there's only 1 more sleep till hugs and kisses from your babies! Glad you made your 2nd flight. Can't wait for you to be able to hold your Beni-wange and Johnny-wange! Love the new timer by the way! Awesome! I talked to Mom and Molly after they left the airport and Molly told me she was doing better. When I told her she was going to get to spend time at the fair with a special 15 year old male visitor from CT, she shrieked with excitement, "Is it Lucien?!?!?!" She can't wait for sheep and rides and the whole experience. We will all follow the blog closely and be there with you in spirit! Love you 4-ev!
