thank you and hot water from the electrician

My shower in the master bedroom has hot water but isn't a shower per se (but rather a soaking tub with a hand-held sprayer as an afterthought) and dad's bathroom in the hall has a shower stall style shower but has not had hot water so far since we have been here.  so today an electrician came to work on the hall shower.  he is a very kind and friendly man with a weathered face that has seen more than a few hard days.  he was still at the house when we returned from the mall this afternoon.  After Benny proudly showed him the new sneakers he had just gotten, and he stopped to talk to me a bit.  as the boys played and ran around testing out their new sneakers, he genuinely and heartily thanked me for rescuing these boys and taking them away from here (and he is not the first to have done so. it really takes you aback because you don't really know how to respond.)  he said, "I have seen many things here in Uganda that are too much for these children and there are so many like them.  I am always glad when I see some children being taken to America.  It is just..." and then he didn't have the right words to express how it made him feel so he just lifted his hands up in a gesture of praise to God like you would when you are really moved by a worship song.  It was a very special moment we shared right then.
